just finished the subtle knife.. his dark materials2

i realised why it didn't offend me the first time.. it's because i didn't link the Authority and Church in the book with the church and God because they were so different? they were simply another name for the villains in the story and had nothing to do with the real thing coz they weren't a shred alike. it's like the baddie in a story called wolf but it doesnt mean every wolf you know is bad.

yeh. but i guess he made it so that it would be blatantly obvious who he was trying to .. defame? yea well in any case. he was trying to deliberately link the two ideas together so people who had no clue would link them just as he wanted and have a horribly bad impression. urgh he's so annoying
