when i read his dark materials i remember being vaguely offended by what was in it. but i think i put it aside because the storyline was completely different to whatever i'd read before. and now when i look back and think about the book, i only remember it was brilliant, but i don't remember what the bad things were
actually i'm really annoyed with p.p atm. he said he didn't like the god that made people kill others in the name of it. but did it ever cross his mind that it was the people that are at fault? there is such a thing as free will and he would know that pretty well since he's an atheist and all that so why is he blaming the god? i thought he said there wasn't a god? why isn't he blaming the people?
what would happen if kids read those books and believed everything it said? it's happened before with harry potter and it could happen with this again.
sheesh i thought i was going to watch it but now i dont think i am.
it made me really angry when i looked up about the books. not just at him but also at myself too. how could i have let it slide so easily? and far out how could i have not remembered later? but if i were to pick it off the shelf like how i did last time i would have still read it through, and it makes me quite annoyed with myself when i think about it.
