cleaning builds character
whoever said promises were meant to be broken was obviously someone who had commitment issues.
reflecting back on last week, it was so unbelievably fun. even though i slept at my latest on a schoolday and was going around with eyes wide shut for the rest of the week.. it was as if everyone knew it was going to be the last week together and decided to just BE themselves. valentines day was especially fun, cherishing those you feel have made a difference, no matter how big or small, they've made in your life. the reason i made cards for my soccer team and not for my og was because i just feel this bond with them. we all chose to play soccer, and we're all of a certain kind, and we werent just randomly put together in a team. we all want to be there. and i'm just going to miss them so so much. i'm already hating the day when they have training without me.
life's like an hourglass glued to the table. maybe fun's not quite the word to explain it. maybe it was fun in the way that i tried new things, i was busy. i actually had things to do. i like being occupied, and compared to last year that's a whole new experience - so maybe that's the element of fun. of doing new things. but of course fun comes with a cost. tiredness, busyness. priorities reshuffled and things that are important being shoved down and down the list. i want God to be my only priority. just like the girl from church. things that i like may not be the things that i need. and i just have the swallow the bitterness and push it away.
don't squander time - that's the stuff life's made of - gone with the wind
