i love the after school parts of school.

especially the soccer part of the after school part of school.

i really wouldnt have thought that i would play soccer.. i have to thank wesley and hamish for introducing tennis ball soccer to me when i was like 9 :)

we played srjc last saturday, we were being scared by ms audrey into thinking that they'd be super rough, but judging by the number of bruises it wasn't thaaaat bad. (compared to the games after anyway) yup, i was in the starting 11 (yay!) playing centre mid, so it was like tons of running and not very much getting the ball but oh well. they won on a dubious penalty. bleagh

then on wed we played gess (the german school). we saw them playing on sat against uwc and we were like *jaw drop and stare* and not just coz they were blonde and big and tall but coz they whacked the ball as if it was... nothing? yuh, so we went into it like whatever man, played centre mid again for the first half of the first half and i was soooooo glad to get subbed off for the first half of the second half, i dont think mid is really my place - went on as defender for the second of the second coz jiayu was standing in as goalie and i was feeling reeeeeally sorry for her. so needless to say we were creeeeamed by the tall big blondes but that was the funnest match ever :D oh and they spoke to each other on the pitch in german. we tried for a while in chinese but gave up in the end HEH.

oh that was after school, we took the bus there and as we were going down the slope out the gate of ny, we were like 'is everyone here?' everyone sort of looked around and suddenly one of us said 'where's manpreet??' then jiayu bolts upright and screeeeeeeches into ultrasound 'manpreeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!' and everyone sort of turns towards the back window half expecting her to be running after the bus waving her arms or something LOL.

today was our last match. against uwc, which was like full of aussies. nuff said. they were even huger and bigger and blonder than the german girls and yeah. much rougher. got hit in the stomach like twice and rammed in the side when helping ke li in goal. but i dont think i'll get bruises there though. lost count of the score - played for the WHOLE GAME and by the end of it i was sweating like i was weeping. went for lunch with the team at ps and everyone was bullying jiayu with all the pointless-meaningless-after-exam games. took tons of photos and they're on picasa here

jeli and aly AND ETHEL are coming to ny on monday! yay can't wait :)
