labour day. in every sense of the word. as in 4-5 hours in starbucks staring at a vaio screen doing the gpp. i think every j1 out there was doing the gpp yesterday. just coz it's due today and all. HEH
went browsing with candy, min fang and dip around orchard after, i was out the whole day on the only holiday in a while. which kinda sucked in a way, coz i like my holidays at home.
i had a strange dream last night, those kind that you really thought was real but when you woke up you're kinda disappointed coz it would've been nice if it was, and things would be so different if that actually happened. hm
so today i walked to the station, and then realised i didn't bring my wallet.
marathon tutorials from 9 to 1.30..
went home and watched peter pan! :P

saw the ocip video, and i was thinking how awesome it would be to have a sfc mission trip. i think i'm pretty atm (addicted to missions) atm, real excited for jie coz she's travelling lots and lots soonish. got the plan for the cse trip - it's mostly just sightseeing, i found i was assuming we were DOING something, and not just seeing. maybe that's a side effect from going to china the first time on missions hahah.

i think isaiah 58 really encompasses what Christianity is really about:
6 "Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe him,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. 9
Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I. "If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. 11

it's like the unbolded bits is what you do for God, and the bolded bits is what God does for you. and really, it's just about helping others. i especially like verse 8 - like with righteousness before you, allowing you to be in the presence of God blameless, and God's glory behind you, like whatever you do, God's glory will be the consequence :)
